Are you brave enough to stay at one of these frighteningly great hotels? Mosborough Hall is steeped in history and fantastic stories of scandalous affairs that took place here, including that of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. He promised he would provide her with money and a small cottage, but then reneged on his promise claiming financial hardship. The couple argued and it’s believed the governess threated to tell his wife. Shortly afterwards the Squire visited her room on the pretext of keeping his promise and…

A one-of-a-kind luxury hotel experience.

There are few former royal residences open to the public for overnight stays. Some castles and palaces offer visitors the opportunity to explore exhibitions and displays, but in terms of spending the night and experiencing a day in the life of previous royal inhabitants, it’s almost impossible to get a truly authentic regal experience. Echoes of the Halls illustrious past can be seen everywhere. From the sundial in the garden, given to Princess Mary as a gift from the people of Goldsborough Village to the copse of Japanese cherry trees planted on the Union Flag Lawn, a wedding present from the Emperor of Japan. The Hall was originally built…
